Cyclones 6

July 20 in Connecticut
The Cyclones three-run rally in the 11th made up for a blown save by Keaton Aldridge in the ninth as the Cyclones beat the Tigers.
With the score tied at three when Jeremy Wolf reached first after striking out on a wild pitch then Cecilio Aybar singled on a bunt to advance Wolf to second. After Leon Byrd Jr. pinch-ran for Wolf, Edgardo Fermin singled to score Byrd Jr, advance Aybar to third, then advance to second himself on the throw. Dylan Snypes then singled to score both Aybar and Fermin to make it 6–3.
But the Tigers didn’t go away softly. With Curtis Horn on the mound, Garrett McCain singled and, after a flu out, Reynaldo Rivera hit a grounds-rule double to put McCain on third, Jordan Pearce’s sacrifice fly score McCain. But Ro Coleman struck out to end the game.
Three Clones pitchers held the Tigers to one run through eight innings, but Aldridge couldn’t hod a a 3–1 lead in the ninth, surrendering a single to Reynaldo Rivera with runners on second and third to score both Cole Peterson and Luke Burch and send the game into extra innings.
The win gives our boys three in a row and four out of five, but they are still 10 games below .500 and three-and-a-half games in back of the second-to-last place Hudson Valley Renegades. On top of that, they are 10 games behind the hated — and first-place — Staten Island Yankees.
The Cyclones hope to keep rolling tonight at 7 pm.
