PO’ed and punchy
A cleaning woman sprucing up a Flatbush Avenue furniture store attacked another worker on May 6 when he tried to relieve himself while she was cleaning the bathroom.
Officials said that an argument escalated when the victim stopped suspect Lily Rose Vaughan from going about her business — cleaning the bathroom at Flatbush Xpress Furniture between Clarendon Road and Avenue D.
According to published reports, the victim suffers from gastritis and needed to go right away.
When Vaughan told him to wait, the two began to argue, but the spat came to a quick end when the 56-year-old threw a trash can at her co-worker. She then picked up the porcelain lid to the toilet, broke it in half and struck the victim with one of the pieces, police said.
She also tried to bite the victim in the neck before the assault was broken up and Vaughan was arrested, charged with assault in the third degree.
Vaughan said that she was only acting in self defense.
Killed in car crash
A man involved in a fatal car accident was arrested on May 9 on Kings Highway, though it appears that he did not cause the crash.
Officials said that 47-year-old Stephen Souza was behind the wheel of a 1999 Jeep near Snyder Avenue at 1:40 am when he slammed into a 2007 Jeep driven by Everton Lindsay.
Lindsay, 53, was rushed to the hospital, where he died of his injuries.
Souza was taken into custody when cops realized he was driving on a suspended license, though later determined that Lindsay may have caused the accident when he tried to make a right turn on Kings Highway from the left lane.
Kidnapped for directions
Three gun-toting goons hijacked a woman’s 2004 Mercedes Benz while she was inside it on May 6, refusing to let her go until she directed them to Bedford-Stuyvesant.
The woman said that she was sitting behind the wheel of the luxury car as she waited for her friend on E. 17th Street near Ditmas Avenue when the three suspects stormed up and pulled a gun on her.
“You know what this is,” one of the men said as they robbed the woman of her cash, her friend’s wallet and her jewelry.
All three then jumped into the car, ordering the woman to slide over to the passenger seat, threatening to shoot her if she started “acting up.”
They then started driving around the neighborhood. When the woman asked them to release her, they said they would only when she told them how to get to Bedford-Stuyvesant.
The joyride came to a quick close, however, when a cop car drove by. Scared of being noticed, the three thugs pulled over, jumped out of the car and ran off.
Police said that two of the men, identified as Brian Rollock and Steven Nunez, both 18, were taken into custody after a brief investigation and charged with robbery and kidnapping.
Broken hearts
A lover’s quarrel ended badly when a man brutalized his girlfriend’s ex with a pipe on May 5.
Police were called to the E. 93rd Street home near Rutland Road at 11:20 am after suspect Darren Whitney, 49, struck his new love’s 54-year-old former suitor in the head with the pipe.
He allegedly continued to strike the man in the arms and legs with the pipe before police arrived.
Cops charged Whitney with assault as his victim was carted off to Kings County Hospital for treatment.

Talk about taking no for an answer!
On May 3, Henry Nunez stormed into a Flatbush Avenue bodega near with intentions to rob the place.
According to cops, the 2 year old had jammed his hand in his pocket as if he had a weapon and then barked orders at the clerk working at the store, which is near Beverly Road.
“Give me all of your s–t!” he screamed.
The clerk didn’t bat an eye and countered by screaming back, “Get the f–k out of my store!”
Sheepishly, Nunez did so, only to be apprehended by cops patrolling Flatbush Avenue that the clerk had flagged down.
Cops charged Nunez with attempted robbery.
Gunned down
A 30-year-old man was killed following a Foster Avenue shooting on April 28.
Officials said that Corey Lashley, a resident of Westminster Road, was found shot in the torso between E. 24th Street and Bedford Road at 3:30 pm. He later died of his wounds at Kings County Hospital.
The search for the gunman, as well as a motive, is ongoing.
Cops are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward.

Back-stabbers
Knife-wielding assailants attacked a teenager, stabbing him in the back on April 30.
Police said that upwards of five assailants converged on the 15 year old at E. 29th Street and Beverly Road at 3:30 pm. During the ensuing fisticuffs, the assailants jammed a knife into the victim’s back, police said.
The teen was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Responding officers rounded up and arrested two teens involved in the fight. The rest were still at large as this paper went to press.
Wipe out graffiti
As the ongoing war against graffiti vandalism continues, cops are now offering a $500 reward to anyone with information that can lead them to graffiti vandals.
The hefty reward is part of the city’s new push to rid New York of graffiti, which is one of the leading quality of life complaints brought to police.
Officials said that cleaning up graffiti is essential to the plan, to show that the community is no longer going to tolerate marred and tagged-up walls and street corners.
According to police, there is a perception that if a community will tolerate graffiti, they will tolerate other criminal activities, such as drug dealing and prostitution.
