A fire in a Coney Island apartment building killed a 31-year-old man and injured five other people early Dec. 12.
The blaze broke out just before 2:50 am on the 19th floor of the Sea Side Houses on W. 33rd street, fire officials said.
Police identified the victim as resident Vitaliy Narodetskiy. Firefighters pulled the unconscious man from the building, and paramedics rushed him to Coney Island Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:46 am.
Paramedics treated four others for minor injuries at the scene, and a fifth person was taken to the hospital with a serious injury, fire officials said.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control by 3:48 am, a fire department spokeswoman said.
Investigators are still determining what caused the fire.
