Conservative Voters gala

More than 500 environmentalists, policy makers, elected officials, corporate leaders and VIPs attended the New York League of Conservation Voters 20th Anniversary Gala at Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers, in New York City. Dubbed “Celebrating a Greener New York,” the gala featured an all−star political and corporate lineup of honorees.

NYLCV named four individuals as its 2009 Environmental Champions: New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Former Gov. George Pataki, and two past board chairs, Paul J. Elston and Charles S. Warren.

The NYLCV Education Fund honored WNBC 4 New York and General Manager Tom O’Brien. Janice Huff, WNBC 4’s meteorologist, served as master of ceremonies. The keynote speaker was US Senator Kirsten Gillibrand.
