Cops: Bullies threaten teen on DeKalb

88th Precinct

Fort Greene–Clinton Hill

Three’s a crowd

A trio intimidated a kid on DeKalb Avenue on June 11 — but didn’t take anything, police said.

The 13-year-old victim told cops the men surrounded him at Clermont Street at 8:45 am.

“Run your pockets,” one said, before they all split for fear of getting caught.

Cops arrested three suspects that morning.

Skater haters

Two jerks robbed a teenager who was riding his skateboard home on Willoughby Avenue on June 12 — taking his board and $20.

The 14-year-old told cops he was near Adelphi Street on his way home at 9:05 pm when the crooks robbed him.

Metro attack

A crook continued the assault on Metro PCS locations around the city, this time hitting a store on Myrtle Avenue on June 13.

Representatives from the store between Ryerson Street and Grand Avenue told officials the man walked in with a semi-automatic pistol at 6:30 pm, and demanded everything in the register. The worker gave him $600 and he fled.

Sliced

A knife-wielding lunatic sliced a man on Washington Park on June 6.

The 22-year-old victim told cops he was at DeKalb Avenue at 10 pm when a man cut his face with a box-cutter for no apparent reason.

TCB-why?

An employee at a Flatbush Avenue candy store bashed a co-worker with a cooking pan during an argument on June 17.

A 22-year-old employee at the TCBY yogurt store in the Atlantic Center Mall told cops she was in a tiff with a co-worker at 11 am when the pan-handler struck her.

Caught in the act

Cops arrested a man who they say tried to rob a house on DeKalb Avenue on June 12.

A witness told cops he saw a man climb onto the fire escape of an apartment near Carlton Avenue, and smash a window.

Police arrested a man five blocks away who they say was carrying tools that could have helped him break into the building.

Never safe

A man being held at the 88th Precinct station on Classon Avenue refused to curb his behavior, despite the fact that he was behind bars, stealing $5 from another man on June 11, police said.

The 52-year-old victim told cops he was sleeping inside a cell at the precinct near DeKalb Avenue from 1:35 to 7 am. When he woke, he was missing $5 and his MetroCard, he said.

Cops said they found the cash in the pocket of a man who had entered a cell with no money.

Crooked

A jerk stole a woman’s backpack containing her money on Flatbush Avenue on June 8.

The 25-year-old victim told cops she was at Atlantic Avenue at 7 pm when a jerk approached her from behind and took her backpack, which included $30.

Bested by

A cunning thief stole nearly $2,000 worth of electronics from a store in the Atlantic Terminal Mall through an elaborate ruse on June 12, police reported.

Representatives from the Best Buy on Atlantic Avenue told cops that a man opened up a credit card account with, what turned out to be, a fake North Carolina driver’s license on June 5, purchasing $1,980 worth of goods between then and June 12.

Police arrested the suspect when he returned to the store on June 12.
