70th Precinct
Flatbush—Midwood
Precocious jewelry crook
Police arrested a 16-year-old accused of stealing more than $3000 worth of jewelry from a woman’s E. 55th Street residence sometime between Feb. 24 and April 15.
The suspect swiped four bracelets, four gold chains, a diamond bracelet, a platinum chain, a gold ring and two watches from the apartment between Clarkson and Remsen avenues, investigators say.
The teen thief — who faces charges of grand larceny and petit larceny — confessed that he did take the pricey goods, according to documents from the District Attorney’s office.
Stabby rampage
A man is facing attempted murder charges after he allegedly stabbed two other men, causing them serious injury, police said.
The defendant allegedly attacked two victims with two knives, stabbing one several times in the head and face and stabbing the other one in the legs. The alleged attack took place at 2:26 am on April 22 on McDonald Avenue between Avenue P and Quentin Road.
In addition to the attempted murder charge, the man is also facing charges of assault, criminal possession of a weapon, menacing and harassment.
Double heists
Cops collared a 51-year-old suspect who burglarized a Cortelyou Road bar and restaurant on two separate occasions on March 29 and April 1, investigators say.
The accused allegedly used a rock to smash the window of the establishment between Argyle Road and Westminister Road and broke in on March 29 at 4:20 am, surveillance tapes show.
The suspect, wearing a jacket with the word Chevy on it, swiped two iPods, a stereo, and about $200, according to documents from the District Attorney’s office.
The same suspect — who faces charges of burglary, criminal mischief, petit larceny, and criminal trespass — broke into the same establishment with a rock on April 1 at 3:30 am, wearing the same jacket and stole a stereo receiver, investigators say.
Investigators matched the suspect’s fingerprint, collected from the glass window, with one in the federal fingerprint database, according to documents from the District Attorney’s office.
