Police arrested a man on Thursday who they say murdered his girlfriend and left her body wrapped in an industrial blanket in a lot beside the East River in Williamsburg.
Cops cuffed a 30-year-old Bedford-Stuyvesant man for the slaying, saying that he stabbed 35-year-old Merceda Young of the Bronx once in the neck. Police responding to a call on Tuesday afternoon found Young dead in a fenced asphalt area at the waterfront end of Division Avenue, near Kent Avenue.
Cops say they have not yet recovered the murder weapon and that they do not know where exactly the suspect allegedly killed her.
