Attack duo
Police arrested a 33-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man who allegedly attacked a woman inside a Clinton Street apartment on Feb. 23.
The duo punched and struck the victim in the head and body with a metal ashtray inside the home between Mill Street and Centre Mall at 1:32 am, investigators and witnesses say.
The victim was so badly hurt that she sustained several broken ribs and a deep laceration to the head. She was in such severe pain that she had to be taken to a hospital to have her head stapled, according to documents from the District Attorney’s Office.
The suspects face charges of assault, menacing, and criminal possession of a weapon.
Knife threat
Cops cuffed an 18-year-old man who allegedly threatened to cut another man for his phone inside a Second Place apartment on Feb. 20.
“Either I’ll stab you or give me your phone,” said the assailant, who approached the victim inside the residence between Court and Smith streets at 3:54 pm while acting like he had a knife in his pocket, investigators claim.
The arresting officer found a quantity of marijuana in the suspect’s jacket pocket, according to documents from the District Attorney’s Office.
The suspect faces charges of attempted robbery, menacing, and marijuana possession.
