Cops find one man dead, two injured from unclear cause in Bensonhurst apartment, investigation ongoing

Police officers are investigating after they found one man dead and two others injured in a Bensonhurst apartment complex on July 12.

According to an NYPD spokesperson, officers responded to a call just after 11 a.m. to find a 38-year-old unconscious male inside an apartment at 1551 71st Street. He was soon pronounced dead on the scene.

Along with the deceased, cops also discovered one 36-year-old man who was conscious but needed medical attention, and a 26-year old-man who was unconscious. The cause of the death and injuries was not immediately clear.

Emergency personnel transported both men in stable condition to a Maimonides Medical Center. A police spokesperson said the investigation is still ongoing, and the Brooklyn Evidence Collection Team was on the scene of the crime as the afternoon unfolded.
