Back slash

A 63-year-old man slashed another man with a knife on Coney Island Avenue on June 23, cops said.

The victim told police that he was between Ocean View and Brighton Beach avenues at 3:35 pm when the suspect drew the knife and slashed him across the back of his neck.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where he received numerous staples, according to court papers.

Butting heads

A 41-year-old man was arrested for head-butting an emergency medical technician on Surf Avenue on June 24.

The victim told police that he was between W. 23rd and W. 24th streets at 3:30 pm when the suspect head-butted him and then punched him in the face, just below the right eye.

Shopping spree

Police arrested a 23-year-old woman who they say tried to steal clothes from a Riegelmann Boardwalk store on June 23 — and attacked an employee who tried to stop her.

An employee told police that he was working at the retail store near Brightwater Court at 6:05 pm when he saw the suspect stuff various articles of clothing, including shirts and bathing suits, into a bag — and then attempt to leave without paying.

When the employee tried to detain the woman, she punched and scratched his face in an attempt to escape, according to court papers.
