Cops: Knife-toting man chokes woman

84th Precinct

Brooklyn Heights–DUMBO–Boerum Hill–Downtown

Cracked out

A 50-year-old man was arrested for choking a woman and threatening her with a knife on Schermerhorn Street on July 8 — and cops say they found crack paraphernalia on the suspect during his arrest.

The victim told police that she was between Smith and Hoyt streets at 5:50 am when the suspect latched onto her neck and drew a blade. When cops arrested the suspect, they found a crack pipe and four baggies lined with the drug’s residue in his backpack, according to court documents.

Grand theft bicycle

Police arrested an 18-year-old man who they say stole a guy’s bike from inside an Atlantic Avenue apartment building on July 5.

The victim told police that he left his bike in a hallway at the building between Bond and Nevins streets at 6:50 pm, and returned five minutes later to find it had vanished.

The victim said he’s certain the suspect took it, and said he saw the young man riding it around Atlantic Avenue in the minutes immediately following its theft, according to court documents.
