Cutting concern
Police arrested a 20-year-old woman for harassing another woman with a kitchen knife on Ocean Avenue on June 24.
The victim was between Canton Avenue and St. Paul’s Court at 5:50 pm when the suspect brandished the sharp blade. The victim felt that she was in danger of being killed given that the woman was standing in close proximity, she told police.

A 37-year-old woman was arrested for violently attacking a man with a wooden plank with exposed nails on it on Clarendon Road on June 24, police say.
The victim told police he was near E. 22nd Street at 7:20 pm when the woman repeatedy struck his face with a wooden table leg that had nails protruding from the end.
The victim suffered lacerations to the face and had several teeth knocked out. He received medical attention at a local hospital.
Scoot along
Police arrested a 20-year-old man for assaulting and mugging a man at Cortelyou Road on June 21.
The men were near Flatbush Avenue at 7 pm when the suspect surrounded the victim with a cohort before punching him repeatedly and striking him with a scooter. The two attackers also took the victim’s bag, which contained money, a bank card, and other items.
The victim’s hands suffered swelling, bruising, and scratching.
