Cops: Man stole cleaning supplies from building

70th Precinct

Clean getaway

A 48-year-old man was arrested for burglarizing an E. 19th Street apartment building, taking garbage bags and cleaning supplies.

Police say surveillance footage shows the suspect and another man tampering with the electronic card lock at the front entrance of the building between Newkirk and Foster avenues at 11:50 pm, damaging the lock before entering the building and removing six boxes of garbage bags and other cleaning supplies.

Blood trail

Police arrested a 19-year-old man who they say burglarized a woman’s Westminsister Road home on June 11, taking jewelry and electronics.

The suspect allegedly entered the victim’s home between Beverly and Courtelyou roads at 2 pm, breaking in through a window before snagging an iPad, iPod, headphones, external hard drive, necklace, and a yellow-gold ring. The suspect was implicated after blood found on the scene matched his DNA, cops said.

Bad business

A 49-year-old man was arrested for beating a man inside his Flatbush Avenue business on Sept. 5.

The victim told police that he was working at the store between Clarendon and Courtelyou roads at 9:15 am when the suspect began pummeling his face, and then swung at him with a box-cutter.
