Police are looking for a pair of men who allegedly assaulted an employee at a Sunset Park business and stole more than $1,000 in cash from both the eatery and the restrained employee on April 6.

The incident occurred at a 57th Street café, located between Seventh and Eighth avenues, at around 1:20 am, when police said the punks approached the male employee, sprayed a chemical substance in his direction, and handcuffed him. The duo then stole $600 cash from the register and $500 from the man’s wallet before fleeing on foot on 57th Street toward Seventh Avenue, according to police, who added that the man had minor injuries and refused medical attention.

Police describe both of the perps as being in their early 20s, adding that one has a large build and was last seen wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and sneakers, and that the other has a thin build and was last seen wearing a light-colored hooded shirt and light-colored pants.
