The victim was sleeping in his room in their shared apartment, located between E. 14th and 15th streets, on July 6 at 1 am when his roommate allegedly entered and strangled him, punched him in the chest, and told him to move out in the morning.

The suspect entered the victim’s room again on July 7 at 7 pm and allegedly brandished scissors at his roommate, stating that he was going to kill him. At 10 pm that evening a police officer found the suspect on Lawrence Avenue in the alleged possession of a Ziploc bag containing marijuana.
