Cops cuffed a man who they say battered a couple on W. 23rd Street back on Aug. 17.
The victims say they were between Surf and Mermaid avenues at 3:15 pm when the man in custody repeatedly punched the woman. The accused then allegedly struck the male about the head with a blunt object, fracturing his skull.

Police picked up a man they accuse of stealing a Cadillac from a Neptune Avenue Parking lot sometime between Oct. 13 and 16.
The victim said he left his car at the lot near the corner of W. 12th Street at 10 pm, and returned two days later at 9 am to find the vehicle missing. Officers say they found the defendant with the vehicle on Nov. 16 at 10:15 am on Mermaid Avenue between W. 15th and W. 16th streets.
