Cops: Teen punched 15-year-old girl in the face

Seen him?: Cops believe this teen punched a 15-year-old girl in the face on a Gowanus subway platform on July 5.

Police are asking Brooklynites to keep their eyes peeled for a teen who they say punched a 15-year-old girl in the face on a Gowanus train platform earlier this month.

Cops say the victim was on the F train platform at the Fourth Avenue and Ninth Street subway station at around 12:40 am on July 5 when the suspect, an acquaintance, and two of his pals approached her. The victim said the two friends first distracted her, and then the alleged attacker suddenly slugged her in the face, according to a police report. The trio then fled the scene, cops said.

Authorities released a photo of the 17-year-old suspect, who they describe as 5-foot-8 and 160 pounds.

The suspect was wearing a Hawaiian shirt with a white T-shirt underneath it, tan shorts, and white sneakers at the time of the incident, police said.
