Cops: Thug attacks man in Borough Hall train station

Borough brawl

A thug was arrested for allegedly punching a man in the face at the Borough Hall train station on Feb. 14.

The victim said he was waiting for the R train at the station near Joralemon Street at 11:50 pm when the box-cutter-wielding thug attacked and stole his glasses. Police say the thief tried to run off, but they arrested the man moments later.

Radio shacked

A crook swiped a treasure trove of electronics from the Montague Street Radio Shack sometime overnight on Feb. 17.

An employee said he locked the store, between Hicks and Henry streets, at 9:30 pm. When he returned the next morning at 9:40, the store’s basement door was broken, and $9,377 worth of goods was missing.

Pick-pocket

A thief stole a man’s wallet on the Q train on Feb. 16.

The straphanger said he was on a Coney Island-bound Q train near the DeKalb Avenue station at 8 am when the crook bumped into him and stole his wallet.

Train gain

A crook swiped a man’s backpack at the Schermerhorn Street subway station on Feb. 13.

The victim said he was waiting for a Queens-bound G train at the station near Hoyt Street at 2:10 am when the thief grabbed his backpack and fled.

Car break-in

A thief stole an electrical saw from a car parked on Hoyt Street on Feb. 15.

The car’s owner said he left the vehicle unlocked between Atlantic Avenue and State Street at 10 am. When he returned 30 minutes later, the saw was missing from the car’s back seat.

Macy’s caper

A crook snatched a shopper’s purse at the Fulton Street Macy’s on Feb. 15.

The victim said she left the bag unattended in her shopping cart at the department store between Lawrence and Hoyt streets at 6:10 pm to find a Macy’s employee. When she returned to her cart five minutes later, the purse was no longer there.

Purse swiped

A thief swiped a woman’s purse at the Macy’s on Fulton Street on Feb. 13.

The shopper said she left the bag next to her baby’s stroller at 2:25 pm while she looked at some shoes at the store between Lawrence and Hoyt streets. When she returned at 2:30 pm, the purse was missing.

Cell snatch

Two thugs stole a man’s cellphone on Joralemon Street on Feb. 18.

The man said he was near Clinton Street at 9:55 pm when the thieves grabbed his device and ran off.
