Brutal attack

A purse snatcher beat and robbed a woman on W. First Street on Aug. 20.

The victim told police that she was between Quentin Road and Kings Highway at 10:30 pm, when the crook snatched her purse and began beating her mercilessly, punching her several times in the face.

Cellphone snatcher

A gun-wielding bandit robbed a woman dining at an 86th Street restaurant on Aug. 20.

The victim told police that she was in the outdoor dining area of the restaurant between Bay Eighth Street and 15th Avenue at 11 pm when she noticed that a thief had taken her cellphone off of the table. She ran after him and the crook drew a black firearm and pointed it her way, before fleeing south-bound on Bay Eighth Street, cops said.

Jewel thief

A crook burglarized a man’s 66th Street apartment on Aug. 23, taking jewelry.

The thief busted through the front door of the apartment between Wallaston Court and 17th Avenue at 8:45 am, taking $50 worth of jewelry and the victim’s birth certificate, cops said.

Quick thief

Someone walked off with an envelope full of cash that a man had left on the table of an 18th Avenue eatery on Aug. 22.

The victim told police that he was finishing up at a restaurant between 77th and 78th streets at 8:30 pm when he took out a white envelope containing $2,600 to pay the bill.

After paying, he walked off, but realized after about five minutes that he’d left the envelope with the rest of the cash on the table. He immediately called the restaurant and ran back to his table, only to find that the cash had been taken.

College poser

A bandit stole jewelry, credit cards, and a college ID from a man’s Bay 10th Street home on Aug. 21.

The crook entered the victim’s house between Cropsey and Independence avenues at 6:30 am, taking the items, cops said.

Backwards robbery

A crook beat and robbed a man of cash on 96th Street on Aug. 27.

The victim told police that he was near Bay Parkway at 8:55 pm when the thief came out of nowhere and stuck his hand in the victim’s pocket, took $95, and then punched the victim in the face and bit his arm.

Canvas complete

A 38-year-old man was arrested for robbing a man of $420 on 84th Street on Aug. 22.

The victim told police that he was near 23rd Avenue at 11:20 am when the suspect slugged him in the face and took his money. The victim immediately called police, and rode along in a squad car as they canvassed the area. Eventually, the victim spotted the suspect, who was carrying the victim’s money, cops said.

Backside to bar

A thief snatched a woman’s purse inside a bar on 86th Street on Aug. 27, taking $40 and credit cards.

The victim told police that she was inside the watering hole between Bay Eighth Street and 15th Avenue at 3 am when the crook snatched her bag off of a bar counter while her back was turned.

Stripper

A crook stripped the rims and tires off of a woman’s car parked on Benson Avenue on Aug. 23.

The victim told police that she’d left her 2011 Honda between Bay 37th and Bay 38th streets at 11:30 pm, and returned later to find her car on blocks.
