Cops: We have Ridge sex fiend

Cops say this man is the Ridge sex predator

Police say they have arrested the Bay Ridge man who sexually assaulted and robbed two women on 82nd street during a horrific 40-minute crime spree on Feb. 25.

Cops from the 68th Precinct said they spotted the suspect, 22-year-old Abdallah Elawar of 84th Street, in video surveillance footage of one of the incident. They recognized him as a local with several drug possession busts on his record.

“Several police officers had contact with him in the past and knew exactly who he was,” said 68th Precinct commanding officer Eric Rodriguez.

Police nabbed Elawar on Wednesday at his home, which is between Fort Hamilton Parkway and Fifth Avenue — just two blocks from the scene of the crimes. So far, Elawar has only been charged with robbing one victim during a crime-ridden Friday night. Investigation into the alleged sexual assaults is pending, according to NYPD spokesman Kevin Hayes.

Authorities say that the hoodie-sporting Elawar jumped a 44-year-old woman from behind at 11:15 pm, sticking a gun in her back as she walked between Fifth and Sixth avenues.

“I’m going to kill you, b—h,” the man threatened as he swiped the woman’s cellphone and $6. The victim also told cops that the perp then unzipped his pants and tried to force her to undress. She said she fought him off, but that her assailant pistol- whipped her before running off.

Cops believe Elawar resurfaced 20 minutes later, grabbing a 22-year-old woman near 82nd Street and Fifth Avenue.

He allegedly flashed his gun and forced his new victim into a nearby building, where he sexually assaulted her before running off with the woman’s cellphone.
