Car crook

The victim told police that he was between E. 66th Street and Whitman Drive at around 1:15 am when he saw a man walking away from his 2002 Jaguar. When he inspected his vehicle, he found that his XM Satellite Radio was missing, his belongings were scattered on the floor of the car, and his interior lights were left on.

The victim also told police that he detected the odor of an unfamiliar men’s perfume inside his snazzy sports car, and when he confronted the suspect, he smelled the same cologne.

BB busted

A 22-year-old man was arrested for shooting an unmarked police vehicle with a BB gun on Flatbush Avenue on May 16.

The officer was driving down Flatbush Avenue near Avenue S in an unmarked police vehicle at around 8 am when a BB pellet ricochetted off of his car window. Suspecting that the shot came from a nearby rooftop, the officer went to investigate and found the suspect, who was in possession of a BB gun and around 50 pellets, cops said.
