A woman is facing a number of charges after she allegedly attacked her friend with a wine glass on Meserole Street on Nov. 3.
According to the Brooklyn district attorney’s office, the woman was arguing with a friend at her home between Lorimer and Leonard streets at 12:35 am when she suddenly turned violent. First, she slapped her friend across the face, the report claims. She then allegedly smashed a wine glass over her friend’s head and then sliced her face with a piece of the broken glass.
The district attorney’s office charged the woman with two counts of assault, menacing, harassment and attempted assault.
Police arrested a man who they say shot two men as he attempted to rob them on Clymer Street on Nov. 1.
The district attorney’s office reports that the suspect, who was sitting on a bench between Wythe and Morton streets at 9:45 pm, jumped the two guys as they walked by him.
“Give me your money and if not, I will shoot you,” he allegedly said to the first man.
The first victim tried to grab the gun, and the suspect allegedly shot him in the hand and ran away. As he was running, he shot at another man who was further down the street, grazing the second victim, according to the report.
Police charged the man with attempted murder, attempted assault, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, menacing, harassment and attempted robbery.
What a dump
A man was arrested for allegedly trying to steal a dump truck on Moore Street on Oct. 30.
The district attorney’s office reports that the accused climbed into the driver’s seat of a dump truck that was parked between Bushwick Avenue and White Street at 11:25 am. He allegedly turned the keys that were in the ignition, but stopped when the operator of the car showed up and kicked him out.
The district attorney’s office charged the man with burglary, attempted grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and attempted petit larceny.
