Two 22-year-old women were arrested for stealing clothes from an Avenue U retailer on Dec. 3.
An employee told police that she was observing surveillance cameras inside the store near Flatbush Avenue at 5:30 pm when she noticed one of the suspects sitting in a chair next to a display table with two bags between her legs.
The other suspect allegedly dropped off clothing onto the display, which the suspect then nonchalantly placed into the bags by her legs, police report.
Hefty haul
Police arrested a 29-year-old man who they say attempted to steal a cashbox from an Avenue N store on Dec. 1.
The victim told police that she was between E. 59th Street and Ralph Avenue at 9:40 pm when he noticed the suspect grab the cashbox, which contained $3,000, and attempt to flee with his ill-begotten goods.
Fortunately, the cashbox was too heavy for the suspect and he dropped it before making a run for it, according to a spokesman for Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes.
Cleaning crazy
A 26-year-old man was arrested for stealing cleaning supplies from a store on Utica Avenue on Nov. 30.
An employee told police that he was working in the store between Avenues L and M at 2:50 pm when he noticed the suspect stuffing various cleaning supplies into a bag and trying to leave without paying.
When the employee attempted to question the suspect, he allegedly punched the worker in the face, before fleeing.

Police arrested two 16-year-olds who they say robbed three teens on Ralph Avenue on Nov. 29 — taking two iPod Touches and a pair of headphones.
The victims told police that they were between E. 65th and E. 66th streets at 3:30 pm when the suspects approached.
“Run your pockets, or I will crack you,” one of the suspects allegedly barked, before grabbing the victims’ property and fleeing.
