A salute to the honorees, plus a congratulatory iced cake, ushered in the frolic as Ragamuffin Parade festivities got underway with a luncheon at the Bay Ridge Manor.
The annual repast – a launching pad for one of the borough’s premier parades – had members and supporters making merry during a program of celebration at the catering facility, 476 76th Street.
Monsignor Michael Phillips, pastor of St. Anselm’s Church, 356 82nd Street, was appointed grand marshal.
The Ragamuffin Parade will take place on September 27 along 3rd Avenue, from 72nd to 92nd streets.
