Terrified screams, ghoulish howls and agonizing moans resonated through the emerald empire as trick a treaters put their most spooktacular foot forward for the annual Halloween Haunted Walk and Carnival in Prospect Park.
The sprawling green near the Nethermead was transformed into a reveler’s delight, brimming with boo-erific critters of fancy at every turn. Along the way, merrymakers encountered headless horsemen, the Evil Queen, the Grim Reaper and other hellish sights to keep the heart pounding and the nerves jangling while brrr-ave thrill seekers climbed Lookout Hill.
Among the eerific sights was Count Dracula, fangs poised for bloody attack and fingers clawing the air as he rose from his grave of dark earth and dashed toward terrified onlookers.
Mom, dad and the kids also teamed up for a spooktastic variety of thrilling activities during the day of macabre spectacles, presented by the Prospect Park Alliance and capped by an autumn carnival in the Nethermead.
