Shovel trouble

Someone snatched a worker’s wallet from inside an Atlantic Avenue store while she shoveled snow out front on Jan. 6, cops said.

The employee told police she was shoveling the sidewalk between Hicks and Henry streets at 10:30 am when the crook crept into the store and grabbed her wallet, which contained a debit and a credit card.

So cold

Police arrested one man and are looking for two more who they say stole three jackets from a Front Street store on Jan. 5.

Workers at the store between Washington and Main streets said the three men came in at 11:20 am and while one of the guys was asking the clerk questions the other two started stealing the coats.

The two guys left with three coats that the store values at $2,220.04, according to a police report. Police arrived while the third suspect was still in the store and arrested him, the authorities said. Officers found a stolen cellphone and a razor blade on him, cops said.

Coat of taint

A couple of smooth criminals stole five coats from a Fulton Street clothing store Jan. 8, NYPD officials said.

Workers at the store between Boerum Place and Pearl Street said the pair came in at 5:10 pm and started grabbing jackets off of the clothing rack. They took off running on Fulton towards Court Street, cops said.

The store values the outerwear at $1,100, according to a police report.

Purse push

A degenerate snatched a woman’s purse as she left a Livingston Street donut shop on Jan. 4, cops said.

The woman said she was leaving the store between Bond and Nevins streets at 7:30 pm and was putting her money back in her purse when the quick crook took the bag. Haul in hand, he shoved her into a bus-stop sign and took off running, police said.

The bag contained $24 in cash, a health insurance card, and some keys, according to a report.

Unfriendly encounter

An no-goodnik stole a pair of laptops from a school on Pearl Street on Jan. 5, according to police.

School officials said they have surveillance video of the crook taking the computers from two classrooms in the building between Willoughby and Johnson streets at 3:30 pm.

Checks chucked

Police are looking for a woman who they say tried to cash $45,580.13 worth of checks from a Livingston Street law firm on Jan. 5.

An employee of the firm between Court Street and Boerum Place said a check-cashing store contacted them and said a woman came in at 12:18 pm and attempted to cash three checks from the firm with a fraudulent letter of authorization, also from the firm.

The check-cashing store refused to honor the checks, notified the law firm, and passed along the name and Social Security number of the suspect, cops said.

Nightmare nurse

A nurse stole an elderly man’s cash and bank cards while he was receiving medical tests at a Sixth Street hospital on Jan. 6 or 7, according to the authorities.

The 76-year-old victim said he traveled from his Dean Street nursing home at 10 am on Jan. 6 with a nurse to receive tests at the hospital between Seventh and Eighth avenues.

He gave the nurse his wallet when he went for testing and when he got it back at 3 am the next day $600 in cash and three bank cards were gone, cops said.

Sick robbery

A degenerate exposed himself to a 62-year-old woman in the elevator of a Nassau Street building on Jan. 7 — then stole her bag, cops said.

The victim said she was in the elevator of the building between Navy and Gold streets at 12:05 pm when the creep entered and exposed himself. The elevator stopped at the 14th floor and the sicko snatched her bag and ran towards the stairwell, officers said.

The woman was not hurt, but her bag contained $30 in cash and a bank card, police reported.

Cab grab

A hack made off with his fare’s luggage after giving him a ride from LaGuardia Airport to Flatbush Avenue Extension on Jan. 5, according to police.

The passenger said the cabbie picked him up at 6:30 pm and drove him to Flatbush between Fleet Street and DeKalb Avenue. When he went to go retrieve his suitcase the driver took off, cops said.

The bag contained $500 in cash, 44 prescription pills, a Bible, and some electronics, law enforcement officials reported. The victim thinks the driver took off on purpose, according to a police report.

Talk and take

A pair of crooks took a worker’s backpack from a Jay Street office on Jan. 8, officials said.

The victim said the duo came into the building between Plymouth and Bond streets at 1:40 pm and started asking her questions. She walked away for 30 minutes and when she returned the bag and the pair were gone, cops said. The backpack contained a laptop and an expensive handbag, police reported.

Bag drag

An ne’er-do-well robbed a woman in the hallway of a Nassau Street building on Jan. 9, officers said.

The 59-year-old victim said she was in the elevator of her building between Gold and Navy streets at 1 pm when the fiend pushed her out into the hallway.

He told her to go into the stairwell, but she refused, sat down on the floor, and started to scream, according to a police report.

The brute tried to drag her into the stairwell by her coat, but then snatched her bag instead and fled down the stairs, per law enforcement officials.

Phone heist

Three thieves stole eight cellphones from a Fulton Street store on Jan. 9, according to the NYPD.

Workers said the crooks came into the store between Hoyt Street and Elm Place at 10:05 am, grabbed the devices, and ran.

Train pain

Five delinquents beat up another teen and stole his sneakers aboard a 3 train on Jan. 8, officers said.

The 17-year-old victim said he got into an argument with a kid he knew on the platform of the Hoyt Street subway station while waiting for a Brooklyn-bound 3 train. After boarding the train, that tough and four others attacked the teen, hitting him in the face and body, cops said.

They then threatened him with a knife and stole his Nike sneakers, according to a police report. The scoundrels disembarked at the Atlantic Avenue–Barclays Center station, but the victim stayed on board, the report says.

Emergency medical workers took the teen to Interfaith Medical Center for treatment, officers said.

Sidewalk steal

A group of five louts robbed a 13-year-old on Fulton Street on Jan. 9, making off with a chain, a watch, a belt, and a pair of glasses, cops said.

The victim said he was between Bridge and Lawrence streets at 5:45 pm when the quarrelsome quintet, some of them wearing red bandanas, broke off from a larger group and approached him. One of the brutes appeared to have a handgun in his pocket, officers reported.

“Give me your chain, watch, wallet, cellphone, and belt, or I will shoot you,” he said, according to officials.

The kid handed over some of the stuff and the whole crew left, according to the authorities.

Old gold

Someone scammed a 90-year-old Clinton Street woman out of $75,000 on Jan. 1, according to the authorities.

The victim, who lives between Pierrepont Street and Cadman Plaza West, told police she thought she would receive $7 million in exchange for making several cash payments through money wiring services to a man in Jamaica.

The last payment was made at 1 pm on News Year’s Day, and the reward never came, cops said. The woman reported the loss on Jan. 10 at 4 pm, according to a police report.
