In a possible setup, a videographer was robbed on Baltic Street on May 18.
An unassuming cameraman arrived at 4:55 pm at the apartment between Bond and Hoyt streets where he was scheduled to tape a bachelorette party for a woman named “Angela,” only to be told by the resident that no by that name lived in the abode, nor was any bash planned.
Already having lost his time, the video pro was robbed by two men, who entered stage center, while he waited for the elevator. One of the criminals brandished a handgun, and the two miscreants stole the man’s bag, containing his camera, tapes, microphone, batteries and $25.
Bad seeds
Police arrested twins for robbing a man on Ninth Street on May 22.
The gun-toting hooligans held up the 24-year-old victim at the corner of Smith Street at 9:20 pm and stole his Sidekick cellphone.
But cops quickly reeled in the 20-year-old brothers — and the mugging victim identified them as the culprits.
Lonely at top
A woman’s upper floor apartment on Baltic Street was burgled on May 14.
The resident told police she was not home from 7:15 am to 6 pm — when she returned to find her front door ajar. Inside, the fourth-floor kitchen window, which is level with the roof of the neighboring building between Smith and Hoyt streets, was broken.
The cheat took her laptop, digital camera and assorted jewelry.
Fallen arches
Marauders smashed their way into a repairman’s truck parked on Hamilton Avenue on May 20.
The victim told police he left his company van between Court and Smith streets from 2 to 2:45 pm, while he patched things up in a nearby fast-food establishment.
That’s when someone greedily broke the driver’s-side window, and stole a smorgasbord of tools.
Off the top
A Coffey Street business was burglarized on May 20 or 21 in a Spider-Man–esque break-in.
The thieves, according to police, apparently broke through a rear window of the building between Van Brunt and Richards streets by scaling down the façade from the roof.
For their hard, illegal work, they obtained $150, company checks and a social security card.
