In one of the greatest wins in Cyclone history, three Brooklyn pitchers combined on a one-hit shutout as the Clones made their final push for a playoff spot.

Starter Carlos Vasquez blanked the Spinners over his six innings, striking out six and giving up just one walk.

He gave way to fireballer Jack Leathersich, who gave up the only hit of the game, but struck out four Spinners in just two innings, raising his season K mark to 26 in just 12-2/3 innings.

Todd Weldon got the save for a lights-out ninth.

On the offensive side of the ledger, the Cyclones registered 10 hits, including Xorge Carillo’s solo homer in the fifth.

The Clones added two insurance runs in the ninth on hot hitter Travis Taijeron’s double.

The win, coupled with a win by the Williamsport Crosscutters, kept the Cyclones tied for the league’s lone wild-card berth with five games to play.

The Cyclones are home against the Staten Island Yankees at MCU Park [1904 Surf Ave. at W. 17th Street in Coney Island, (718) 449-8497] on Friday night at 7 pm. For info, visit www.brooklyncyclones.com.
