The Cyclones offense was no match for Tiger pitching, and the Brooks only run came on slugger Michael Conforto’s second home run in two games.

Alberto Baldonando had a rough start, going five-and-a-third innings, gave up five runs on seven hits,.

Conforto’s blast came in the fourth.

The Cyclones and Tigers face off one more time before the Cyclones go on the road. Game time is 7 pm.

Welcome to Brooklyn: The Cyclones added another tall pitcher to their roster, the six-foot-eight right-hander Martires Arias, who led the Appalachian League with an earned run average of .050. The 23-year-old limited opposing batters to a .154 batting average.

First time for everything: Saturday night’s game against the Tigers saw many firsts of the season for the Cyclones. It was the first time a starting pitcher had pitched eight complete innings, the first time Marcos Molina had struck out nine batters. Offensively, Michael Conforto hit his first home run as a professional ball player, Dimas Ponce as had his first multi-hit game as well as his first triple of the year, newcomer, John Mora also had his first hit as a Cyclone.
