Ironbirds 1

June 26 at Aberdeen

The Cyclones had their second-straight laugher, beating up on the Ironbirds with timely hitting, great pitching and, oh yeah, five errors by the home team.

Starter Marcos Camarena was impressive, giving up just two hits in six innings. The only blemish was an unearned run in the sixth, after the Cyclones were already ahead 5–0.

The Clones got all they needed in the second inning, when two runs scored thanks to two errors by Ironbird pitcher Aaron Wirsch.

Another error in the third plated the Cyclones’ third run.

In the fifth, the Cyclones got some legitimate runs on a two-run single by Brian Harrison.

Brandon Brown added a solo shot — his third in two games — in the ninth.

The Cyclones return home vs. the Hudson Valley Renegades at MCU Park [1904 Surf Ave. at W. 17th Street in Coney Island, (718) 449-8497] on June 29, 7 pm. For info, visit www.brooklyncyclones.com.
