Yankees 4
Cyclones 5
Saturday, July 25, at Keyspan Park
The Cyclones got a gutsy come-from-behind win against their hated rivals.
The Brooks got on the board with three in the first, thanks in part to Robbie Shields’s two-run single.
But the Yankees found a way to ruin Darin Gorski’s four-inning perfect game, scoring all their runs in the fifth inning.
But the Cyclones stormed back, tying the game in the sixth on a Nicholas Santomauro homer. The game-winner came in on Ralph Henriquez’s double.
Unhittable Brandon Sage got the win in relief and Mike Powers earned his seventh save for a one, two, three ninth.
