The Cyclones struck out 15 times and made three errors, but still triumphed over their Maryland rivals.

The Ironbirds got on the board first, with solo runs in the first and third, as Cyclones starter Marcos Camarena was giving up hits like Santa Claus. He lasted four innings with a line of seven hits and two earned runs.

But the Cyclones turned it on in the seventh, scoring two on Javier Rodriguez’s double. And the winning run scored in the bottom of the ninth on Luke Stewart’s walk-off double.

Despite the late-night heroics, this game belonged to the bullpen, which yielded just one hit over the last five innings.

The 15 Cyclone K’s brings the first-place team’s league-leading number of whiffs to 60 on the season.

The Cyclones are home vs. the Aberdeen Ironbirds at MCU Park [1904 Surf Ave. at W. 17th Street in Coney Island, (718) 449-8497], June 22, 7 pm. For info, visit www.brooklyncyclones.com.
