Dastardly driver rapes passenger

Taxi cab rape

A dastardly livery driver raped a 30-year-old woman passenger on Jan. 31, cops said.

The victim got into the cab after leaving a club on Grand Street near the corner of Union Avenue at around 1:30 am. Once inside the cab, the thug drove the victim to an undisclosed location before committing the act, according to police.

NYPD statistics show that the attack is the first rape of the year. Last year, 10 women were raped in the 90th Precinct, down from 24 in 2001 and 43 in 1990.

Kitchen knife

A woman with a kitchen knife slashed a 21-year-old as she walked to her car early on Feb. 1.

The vicious attack occurred at the intersection of Union Avenue and Lorimer Street at around 5 am, when the blonde bad girl rushed the victim and stabbed her in the left thigh and right forearm.

Shopper’s regret

A fashionable felon snatched a woman’s wallet from her purse while she shopped in a Broadway clothing store on Jan. 31.

The thief grabbed the black leather wallet, which was sitting in an unattended handbag on a bench in a clothing store between Marcy Avenue and Rodney Street. Once the thief grabbed the goods — between 12:40 and 1 pm — the hoodlum fled from the shop.

Purse curse

Crooks snatched a 30-year-old reveler’s purse from a Broadway bar early on Jan. 30.

The thief grabbed the pocketbook, which was hanging on a hook on the wall beside the victim, at around 1 am. Once the thief grabbed the bag — which contained the victim’s keys, Metrocard, phone, ID and credit card — the thief escaped from the watering hole, which is between South Ninth Street and Keap Street.

Bedford break-in

A thug kicked in the front door of Bedford Avenue apartment and ransacked a 28-year-old resident’s home, cops said.

The crook forced his way into the apartment, which is between Penn and Rutledge streets, between 5 pm on Jan. 30 and 8:30 pm the following day. Once inside, the thief grabbed $500 and a silver chain valued at $300.
