Day drinking: A cocktail from the Galactic guide

Bubble trouble: Each drink in “The Cocktail Guide to the Galaxy” comes with an illustration, such as this image of actress Felicia Day for the Felicia Laundry Day cocktail, by Kati Delaney.

For his cosmic cocktail guide, Andy Heidel whipped up this cocktail based on the super-villain musical “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog.”

All you need is this cocktail, some quarters, and your freeze ray. Then, you and Felicia can make time stand still.

1 part the Bitter Truth violet liqueur

1 part Bombay Sapphire gin

1/4 part lemon juice

Pour all the ingredients into a large glass filled with ice. Stir, then strain into a fancy glass and garnish with a lemon peel. Drink it and feel those feelings you don’t dare to feel.

A violet end: The Felicia Laundry Day cocktail, inspired by “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog,” is designed to look like laundry detergent.
