Deliverance

Two teens roughed up a deliveryman on April 23, but cops had no trouble delivering the suspects to justice.

The crooks confronted the victim as he brought food to an apartment on Eagle Street between McGuinness Boulevard and Provost Street at around 10:25 am. One adolescent thug choked the 46-year-old deliveryman while the other snatched his belongings.

The thieves made off with two bags of Chinese food, a cellphone and $100, but cops arrested both suspects the next day.

Copper robber

Crooks in Greenpoint are still after copper — the increasingly valuable metal that has sparked a number of heists in past weeks.

Thieves broke into a storage container on Green Street, making off with $2,000 of copper cable sometime between 5:30 pm on April 25 and 7:30 am the next day.

Cops say the metal menaces pried open the container’s door and escaped from the lot, which is between Manhattan Avenue and Franklin Street, with 500-feet of copper communication cable.

Ice cream men

Sweet-toothed thieves broke into a truck parked at a Kingsland Avenue storage lot and made off with a bounty of Haagen Dazs.

The sugar-craving burglars broke two padlocks to get into the truck at some time between 8 pm on April 25 and 11:35 pm on April 26.

They escaped from the lot, which is between Norman and Greenpoint avenues, with as much of the gourmet ice cream as they could carry.
