The fashion experts at The Arsenal, 153 Roebling Street, fourth floor, are curating the Williamsburg Indie Designer SoirÉe, a pop−up mart of wildly talented local designers to sell their clothing, accessories and jewelry in their loft, July 18 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. From high−end to handmade, you’ll have the chance to grab a complete variety of hard−to−find pieces that you won’t see anywhere else, for prices that will make you smile.
They will have a showcase of fabulous Brooklyn−based DJs spinning throughout the day, and the bar will be serving up yummy two−for−one mimosa, DIY bloody mary and beer specials…because shopping is always a great excuse to party.
As if that wasn’t enough, they will have a room devoted to workshops on everything from crochet to screenprinting to jewelry making, so that you can get inside the process and learn how your new purchase is made. Rain or shine, the Williamsburg Indie Designer Soiree is your style oasis from the summer heat (or showers!).
Built on the foundations of an actual Civil War−era armory, the Arsenal boasts streaming natural light, compliments of the circa 1850s windows, original tin ceilings and hardwood floors. As functional as it is beautiful, the space also features a complete eat−in kitchen adjacent to a fully equipped bar, and even has a small outdoor patio with city views.
The Arsenal also offers a full range of creative classes in fashion design, photography, makeup, graphic design, screenprinting, life drawing and more.
