The Institute of Design and Construction, a fixture in the world of Architecture and Construction for more than 60 years, has announced another innovation: frequent Career Information Sessions.
Unlike other colleges, which traditionally have one or two open houses a year, IDC — in addition to its regularly scheduled open houses — has initiated a Career Information Session to be held at 6 p.m. at their campus, 141 Willoughby Street on the corner of Flatbush Avenue in downtown Brooklyn; IDC will also hold its next open house June 14 at 11 a.m.
Students and/or parents who wish to attend IDC’s Open House are welcome. No appointment is needed. Walk-ins are OK.
“By having frequent Career Information Sessions we’re not only increasing awareness of IDC in Brooklyn but also allowing students more flexibility to come and check us out,” says IDC President Vincent C. Battista.
The Institute of Design and Construction is a private non-profit institution registered by the State of New York Education Department and authorized by the State of New York Board of Regents to confer the degree of Associate in Occupational Studies.
Many IDC alumni are employed in leading architectural and construction firms located in the metro New York area, throughout the country and the world. IDC is proud to maintain a small school atmosphere coupled with a modest tuition structure and caring faculty.
IDC offers comprehensive courses ranging from architectural drawings and basic theories of architectural design to construction management and beyond. Classes include Blueprint Reading, Computers/Autocad, Interior Design, Architectural Design, Construction Drawing, Surveying, Estimating Strength of Materials, Construction Management and many more interesting classes in the fields of architecture and construction.
Students can earn while they learn with IDC’s Work and Study Plan. Matriculated students can apply for financial aid under Federal Programs and the New York State Tuition Assistance Program.
Enrollment is now open and students and/or parents who wish to attend an IDC Career Information session must make reservations beforehand by calling 866-593-7212.
