Special deliveries
Gunmen held up two delivery men this week, officers said, though they didn’t know whether the crimes were connected. Here’s what went down:
• Two fiends robbed a delivery guy as he brought food to a residence on Mill Street in Red Hook on Jan. 17, cops said.
The victim was making his drop-off near Henry Street at 10:27 pm when the pair of perpetrators approached, one flashed a silver handgun, and they both pushed him to the ground and demanded all his cash, a report says. The worker forked over $40, but that was not enough for his tormentors, so one rifled through his pocket and swiped his cellphone, according to a report.
One told the victim he had five seconds to leave, and as he walked away the ruffians fled on Henry Street toward Centre Mall, cops said.
• A dastardly duo, also armed with a silver handgun, stuck up another delivery guy on Hicks Street on Jan 12, a report says.
The worker was carrying food to a residence near Centre Mall at 9:30 pm when the crooks came up, one flashing the pistol, and stole $65 in cash and the $35 food order, according to the authorities.
Push comes to theft
Cops arrested two teenagers on Jan. 15 in connection with a robbery earlier that night on Henry Street, according to an NYPD account.
The victim said she was near at Warren Street when someone pushed her to the ground and swiped her iPhone.
Officers took the victim for a ride and she pointed out the two suspects at a nearby eatery on Atlantic Avenue at Hicks Street, cops said.
Police collared a 19-year-old from Brownsville and a 16-year-old from East Flatbush and charged them with the robbery, according to a report.
Bad Samaritan
A crook took money from a cash machine with a Red Hook woman’s stolen debit card, cops said.
The victim lost her wallet sometime between Jan. 5 and Jan. 11 — whether it was by mistake or by theft isn’t clear — and whoever got a hold of it withdrew $278 in cash from her bank account, per the police.
Striking gold
A burglar looted a stash of jewelry from an apartment on Warren Street sometime between Jan. 16 and 18, according to a report.
The victim said she left at 10 am on Jan. 16 and returned at 5 pm two days later, only to find the front door unlocked, law enforcement officials said.
A search of the apartment between Columbia and Hicks streets found that the prowler had made off with $5,850 worth of jewelry, including a pearl necklace worth $800, a ring and earring set worth $800, a gold butterfly pendant worth $600, and other items, police said.
