The victim told cops he left his bag on the ground in the courts at the corner of Eighth Avenue and 66th Street at 10:30 am and went to go shoot hoops. When he came back half an hour later, he saw it’d been a bad call: his knapsack — with his wallet and credit cards inside — was gone.

The victim said she left her vehicle parked between 68th and 69th streets at 5 pm, and came back out at 9 am the next day to see that somebody had busted out the driver’s-side front window — and made off with a $4,500 of her jewelry, $1,500 worth of clothes, her $250 carry-on bag, and her $300 Kindle from inside the vehicle.
