Crip-pled
A gang of 30 Crips from the Freedom Academy HS on Nassau Street severely assaulted a girl as she was walking to the subway after school on March 26, police said.
The victim and her friends told cops that a blue-colored, rag-waving crowd followed them to the corner of Willoughby and Jay streets at 3:15 pm. One of the perps walked up to the girl and punched her in the face, yelling, “I am going to line you and your friends out and shoot you all!”
Scared for their lives, the victim and her friends ran to the DeKalb Avenue subway station. One of the perps boarded with her and started pulling her hair, cops said.
At the next stop, the victim tried to flee, but was set upon by more gang members, who pulled her hair and banged her head against a pillar, chipping several of the her teeth and causing damage to the left side of her face.
After the brutal battery, with the girl lying bruised and bleeding on the subway platform, the hoodlums fled.
Subway mug
A thief snatched a cellphone from a subway rider’s hand on March 25 as the victim was trying to purchase a Metrocard.
At around 2:30 pm, as the victim was standing at the kiosk in the Jay Street subway station, a thug approached the 21-year-old woman from behind and grabbed her $400 phone. Before running off, he turned to her and said, “If you follow me I’m going to bust your face.”
The thug was not caught.
Let’s fight
Two girls mugged two other girls as they were walking down Adams Street on March 25.
The two victims were at the corner of Adams and Joralemon streets at 3:15 pm, they told cops, when one of the perps approached them and said, “I wanna fight you.”
The mugger then punched the girl in the face, grabbed her Sidekick, and ran off.
Five to one
A group of five men tried to mug a 16-year old kid on the N train on March 23, but the attack ended with two of the perps in handcuffs.
The victim told cops he was on the train at the Pacific Street and Fourth Avenue station at 2:30 pm when the gang assaulted him, held his hands behind his back, and grabbed his phone.
Police were quickly on the scene, and were able to arrest two of the attackers. The three others managed to escape.
Fightin’ back
A woman tried to snatch an iPod from a fellow subway rider on March 23, but plot went awry when the would-be victim, and a Good Samaritan, fought back.
The victim told cops that she was sitting on the train at the Pacific Street station, at 8:20 pm, when the mugger grabbed her music player. As she tried to run off, a man rose to prevent her from fleeing. The perp punched the man in the face, but was then punched herself, by her intended victim, who recovered the iPod from the dazed mugger.
Police soon showed up, and the 18-year-old attacker was arrested.
Gunpoint invasion
A thug robbed a woman at gunpoint as she was trying to enter her Dean Street building on March 27.
The victim told cops that she was approaching her building, located between Bond and Nevins streets, at 2:30 pm when a man approached her from behind, brandishing a black handgun. The thug pushed her into the house and, at gunpoint, ordered her to lie on the ground.
The burglar proceeded to ransack the place, stealing an iPod, Blackberry, laptop, driver’s license, two credit cards, and $20.
