Mel on the move: Williamsburg native Mel Brooks, 81, is working on a big screen adaptation of the classic TV show, “Get Smart,” and will bring his Tony Award-winning musical, “The Producers,” to Vienna this summer.

On the latest edition of Brooklyn Paper Radio, Gersh Kuntzman and Vince DiMiceli sat down with “Toxic Avenger” Christopher Swain, who last year became a hero to all when he swam both the putrid Newtown Creek and the gonorrhea-infused Gowanus Canal.

The daredevil talked about what it is like to be the only man alive to survive a dip in both.

The boys also gave an on-air job interview to Brooklyn Paper reporter candidate Nathan Place — who, we learn, does not live on Nathan Place in Huntington Station, Long Island, but has worked for a newspaper in China.

Also, legendary Brooklyn Paper reporter Natalie O’Neill calls in from her new home in Oregon, where she makes it clear she is only high on coffee.

And after an impassioned plea to legendary comedian Mel Brooks to do us a big favor, our hosts unveiled their latest million-dollar idea.
