A Ridgite walking a dog in Shore Road Park came across a grisly scene straight out of “Law & Order” early on April 23.
Authorities say the witness found the body of a 33-year-old male at 6:30 am in the tennis courts near the corner of Third Avenue and Shore Road — with a gunshot wound to the head.
Police and medical personnel arrived on the scene and declared the man dead. Cops brought the body to the coroner’s office, and sources reported that the death is believed to be a suicide.
An investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
