A bad hire
Police arrested a man for raiding a woman’s purse during a job interview near the corner of Stillwell and Neptune Avenues on Oct. 26.
The woman told cops that she was talking to the potential hire at 1:15 pm, but when she turned her back, the prospect allegedly snatched a phone and wallet from her purse, said officials.
The man later returned to give the woman back her cellphone but refused to hand over her wallet, said police. The woman called police, and officers arrested the man at the scene, officials said.
Pervy purse snatcher
A dirtbag groped a woman and stole her purse on W. 35th Street on Oct. 30th.
The woman told police she was standing on the sidewalk waiting for a cab between Mermaid and Surf Avenues at 6 am when the good-for-nothing told her to “get up against the wall” and pressed a knife against her throat, said officials. The cur felt up the woman’s chest and thighs before running off with her purse, police said.
Brutal assault
Police arrested two brutes for beating and slashing a woman with a box cutter on W. 11th Street on Oct. 30.
The woman victim dropping her two children off at their father’s house between Avenues X and V at 12:30 am when a man and woman attacked her, police said.
The man punched the victim in the face several times and tried to strangle her while the other attacker slashed the woman with a box cutter and swiped her wallet and cellphone from her purse, according to police. The children were not involved in the attack, officials said.
Shoot-out
Police arrested two men for shooting at a man on W. 28th Street on Oct. 27, said police.
The victim told police that two bullets came whizzing by him as he was walking toward Surf Avenue at 1:50 pm. He ducked into a nearby apartment building, and the shooters fled in an unknown direction, cops said.
