Photo shoot
A trio of thugs turned a midnight photo op into a photo not on Nov. 25.
The victims, a young couple, were snapping pictures of the Manhattan skyline at Kent Avenue and N. Eighth Street when three men approached from behind at around 1 am.
“I’ll shoot you,” one of them said as he slammed one victim onto the ground. The three made a not-so-pretty picture patting down the pair and coming up with a wallet and an iPhone. They escaped in a white Lincoln.
By a whisker
Police are looking for the mustachioed man who robbed an apartment on Nassau Avenue on Nov. 23.
The victim told cops that she left her home, which is near Leonard Street, at 8:50 am and returned at 2:30 pm when her neighbors told her that they’d seen the bristly burglar fleeing with her Apple laptop and some jewelry.
Was it OJ?
A burglar cleaned out a Jackson Street apartment on Nov. 27 — and left behind an unusual calling card.
The victim told cops that she left the apartment, which is near Woodpoint Road, at around 3 pm and returned just after midnight to find that a thief had taken her camcorder, laptop, camera and an digital music player from the basement bedrooms.
The only thing he left behind was a blood stain on the bedroom wall.
Turkey shoot
While families were stuffing in the pie this Thanksgiving, car thieves were feasting on Greenpoint’s vehicles, and not leaving any leftovers. Here are the fatty details:
• A thief took a 2001 Mercury Sable from Greenpoint Avenue near Franklin Street. The driver — who left it there from midnight to about 4:45 am — also lost his sneakers, iPod and some earrings.
• The same night between 1 and 11 am, another larcenist took a new Ford van from Nassau Avenue near Hausman Street.
• The holiday spree continued the next night, when a thug picked up some dark meat: a black Acura parked on Calyer Street near Banker Street. The theft occurred between 11 pm on Nov. 27 and 2:30 am the next morning, cops said.
