A mugger grabbed a woman’s purse on 74th Street just after midnight on March 7.
Police say the 25-year-old victim was between Ridge Boulevard and Third Avenue when she heard someone running up from behind her. Before she could escape, the man took the purse, which held $550 and a cellphone.
The purse-snatcher then jumped in a Chevy Corsica with three other perps and sped away.
Roof slashed
Someone slashed through the roof of a car that had been parked on Ovington Avenue on March 9 and stole $2,000 worth of automobile equipment.
The car, a 2005 Honda, was parked between Fourth and Fifth avenues, and was also stripped of car seats and the gear shift before the owner returned at 10 pm.
String of burgs
At least one apartment and two houses were burglarized last week, cops said.
The first incident occurred on March 6 at an apartment on 74th Street near Shore Road. The thief broke in through the front door after the resident left at 7 am and stole nearly $20,000 worth of Rolexes.
Two days later, a Bay Ridge Parkway house was burglarized after the resident left at 7 am. Police say the crook forced his way through the rear door and stole jewelry, a camera, and a Coach bag.
Later that day, around 7 pm, a house on 66th Street between 11th and 12th avenues was broken into by a thief who entered through the rear window without damaging anything.
Once inside, he stole jewelry and $500, and then fled through the rear door.
Car burglarized
A 19-year-old man learned an expensive lesson on March 6 — don’t leave expensive valuables in plain sight in an unattended car.
The man had left a laptop, camera, and Prada sunglasses — worth $2,165 together — in the car, which had been parked near the corner of 85th Street and Fifth Avenue.
When he returned at 5 pm, he saw that the driver’s-side window had been smashed and the items were gone.
