A driver hit a 6-year-old boy on E. 33rd Street as he was playing outside on Aug. 25, sending him to the hospital in critical but stable condition, police said.
The youngster was playing on the sidewalk when he ran into the middle of the one-way street between Fillmore Avenue and Avenue S, and a man driving a 2012 Jeep struck him at about 1:20 pm, officials said.
Emergency responders transported him to Kings County Hospital, and the driver remained on the scene, according to authorities.
Police are continuing to investigate, but there’s no criminality suspected and the driver was not arrested as of that afternoon, officials said.
