As if you needed
an excuse to go shopping, you can now splurge for an artistic
cause when the DUMBO Bazaar returns this Saturday, May 29. The
bazaar, organized by the non-profit mobile arts organization
Nest, will offer works for sale by local artisans, as well as
live music and a bar.
More than 30 vendors will hawk original and vintage goods ranging
from art, books, furniture, clothing and music to tchotchkes.
Charlotte Gaspard’s handmade tops (pictured) will be on sale
as well as paintings, mugs and postcards by Jen Ferguson. Zia
Ziprin’s Girls Love Shoes booth will be back as well as handcrafted
chandelier earrings by jewelry designer Edline Bonsu.
Before, after and during your shopping spree, you can kick back
with a cocktail and enjoy the live acoustic music.
Admission is free. The bazaar, located at 88 Front St. at the
corner of Washington Street in DUMBO, runs from noon to 8 pm
on May 29, May 30, June 5 and June 6. For more information, visit
