DUMBO gallery walk invites all to browse

Brooklyn’s waterfront neighborhood of DUMBO will welcome art lovers and fun seekers to explore its art-filled gallery spaces as they celebrate with receptions, live musical performances and artist/curator talks, October 1 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at 111 Front Street, 37 Main Street, 92 Plymouth Street, 28 Jay Street and various stops and shops along these blocks.

Neighborhood bars, restaurants and stores join in First Thursday with individual promotions and specialties throughout galleries in DUMBO.

Two Trees Management, in collaboration with participating galleries, is hosting this month’s evening of art and culture, a festive monthly occasion allowing visitors to immerse themselves in DUMBO’s extensive cultural offerings.Known as the new “NY Photo District,” DUMBO is also recognized for its fine art galleries, theater and music.

This month’s gallery walk will feature live music, performance art, film & video screenings, a lighting installation, interactive public art, exhibitions, receptions, drink specials and — of course — fantasticviews of the Manhattan skyline.
