Police cuffed two guys who they say stole beer from an Emmons Avenue bodega on April 18 and then got into a brawl with an employee and police officer.

The victim said one of the suspects tried to walk out of the store near Haring Street around noon with two six packs of Corona beer when he tried to stop him. But the suspect pushed the victim and they both fell to the ground, according to authorities.

An off-duty officer from the 61st Precinct tried to help the employee, but the suspect struck his hands while trying to get away, and the second suspect pushed the officer, police said. Both suspects were apprehended on Haring Street, according to a police report.

Threatening encounter

Two knaves donning black masks stole a teen’s cellphone after threatening him with a knife on E. 10th Street on April 24.

The 16-year-old told police he was walking towards Ocean Avenue near Avenue R around 6 pm when the two jerks approached him with a knife and told him to “Run your pockets!” The scoundrels took off with the teen’s iPhone 6S, according to authorities.

Musical thief

Police arrested a suspect who they say broke into an office at an Oriental Boulevard college on April 18 and stole a music textbook.

The 24 year old forced open the door using a screwdriver, nail puller, and chisel, and removed the textbook, according to authorities. Police say the suspect is not a student at the college.

Fruitless break-in

A punk entered a woman’s Lancaster Avenue garage on April 19.

The woman told police her garage door near E. Seventh Street was unlocked when the trespasser entered around 5:45 pm. But the intruder didn’t steal anything, according to authorities.

Family feud

Police cuffed a 23-year-old guy who they say attempted to break into his grandfather’s E. Fifth Street home on April 19.

The 91-year-old man told police his grandson tried to break in through the front window of his home near Avenue T around 4:45 pm. The elderly man requested an order of protection against his grandson who he says is dangerous, according to authorities.

Stolen plant!

A jerk broke into a woman’s home on Ocean Avenue on April 19 and stole a bunch of jewelry and a plant, police said.

The burglar entered the 27-year-old’s apartment near Avenue R through her living room window sometime between 10 am and 8 pm and stole watches, gold rings, gold bracelets, gold necklaces, and a fake plant, according to authorities.

Caught in the act

Police cuffed a 38-year-old guy who they say tried to break into a young woman’s home on Avenue Z on April 21.

The victim told police the suspect was in her back alley, climbed the stairs, and then tried to open the screen door to her home near E. 29th Street around 5:24 pm by yanking and pulling on it, police said.

The woman went up to the suspect and talked to him while she flagged down police, according to authorities.
