Summer may be nearly over but its sparkle remained for revelers who embraced the rays during a block party in Marine Park.

Residents of East 37th Street pooled their resources and strengthened their community ties by uniting for the annual frolic between Avenues T and U.

Neighbors shared potluck barbecues and worked on their suntans while youngsters enjoyed party games, music and other simple pleasures.
